Looks like Ill be back this thursday thanks to some Downiville therapy, looks like my hip is ready for riding again. The other thread was getting too long. So meet around 6 and ride about 6:15 or just after Justin gets there. Who is in this week?

Glad to hear your hip is better.

I'll be there!

Provided that my work slows down enough, and that I can get out on time, I might actually make it...

I basically started telling them (work) that I can't stay late on Thursdays. Places to go and things to do! After Downieville, it'll be weird riding uphill. Did I mention Downieville was awesome? It, as Sean has proven, even has therapeutic powers! Who knew!

You be talking funny.

Suggestion: ride faster, finish earlier, don't chit-chat in the parking lot, and then take your wife to a late showing of the movie.

I'll take it into account for next time, but I don't have my bike with me, and I also don't have a car (other car at the shop, 50k maintenance, need new brake shoes, ouch!!).

BUT, I will make it someday. :)

You have an old car if it needs brake shoes, buddy.

Buy the disc pads, and i'll install it at the GAP parking lot after the ride. If it really does have shoes, rear drum brakes, that will take longer and will need to be at my house(along with a 6pack of Orangina).

I have a spare Titus Motolite, so that excuse won't work here for you. ;)

Being that I'm 3' shorter than you are, I'd probably eat my privates on the top tube on each downstroke. :D

You guys have fun, I'll go watch Johnny Depp impersonating Keith Richards.

Rensho,

Don't ask me about the shoe vs. pad thingy. I just know it's gonna cost me money. I guess that slowing down the 2 + tons of the Tahoe takes a toll on the brakes. I might be able to make it next week since we announce our earnings on Thursday, so I might be able to leave work early.

It was a good ride last night except for when I couldn't clip out! :madman: I am such an idiot!

I just bought a new pair of eggbeaters and last night I was having a hard time clipping out on my left foot.

When we were regrouping I came to a stop and I couldn't clip out at all. When I realized this, I yelled...... OH NO! And then BAM.... I tipped over! What an idiot! I could have clipped out with my other foot but it all happened so quick, kinda sorta, (not really).

Later I went to do a dab and I had a similar problem. :eekster:

It wasn't until after the ride that I discovered that the clip on my shoe was very loose. :nono:

I was told that the clips on eggbeaters sometimes come loose when they are new. I swear I tightened those damn things good when I first put them on! Now I will be checking them often.

Oh well, despite me tipping over it was a good ride!
