whenever i'm on the street or going slow with my dog, i try to work on stuff to make dull time more interesting. trackstanding at stop lights, doing turn after turn inside of a parking space, rolling little curbs... what other things can you work on when you have spare cycles?

This will help keep your balance...
Turn your wheel all the way so that the handlebar is inline with the frame. While sitting down on the bike, put both feet on the front tire and try to stay up by moving the front tire with your feet.
Is there a name for this?

Pump Tracks... Rage, MMP... Bunny Hop sessions with flat pedals... Trying to learn how to manual more then 1 inch... Also bought Mastering Mountain Biking Skills (by Brian Lopes and Lee McCormick). Been putting a lot of time into strength training too... using James Wilson's DB Combos (http://dbcombos.com).

I came to the realization that I really suck, this summer is all about improving my skills and fitness on the bike. I wanna rip it this fall.

Leaning down and snatching a water bottle or other object off the ground while riding.
I do this, track stands and ride tight circles around the post with the "push to cross" button. The last is more challenging when the pole is inches from the curb. Yes, I've fallen.

right....you don't ride a bike anymore. ;)

how long 'till you're back in the game?
I'm off today and did a quick Mormon National loop this morning. No pain now, so I think I'm back for short rides at least.

I'll be doing a few PT sessions starting this week to be sure I'm doing things the righ way. Man it felt great to ride today!

picking up a dog leash while you and the dog are moving is a fun one. i also do what nardo does at the push-to-cross buttons. rolling the little bumpers that cars park up against is good skill - i have gotten better at it and its good skinny practice.

can someone go through the steps for a manual? I've never gotten it down.

i like riding the wall at the BV parking lot
