how hardcore are ya?

There's some nice stuff up at Solitude. You can either ride up via easier trails/paved road or take the tram on weekends.

Do you have a downhill-specific bike? I've seen people peddling/pushing those up hills - doesn't look fun.

Yeah it is a bummers the one by Tanners Flat got closed. It's dumb they closed it. THey shouyld have finished it so the pipeline trail could be ridden as a loop using the fireroad to go up..
As far as Downhill trail around SLC, it depends whether you're shuttling or want to go up to:

Full Downhill: Low traffic or closed to foot traffic trails, difficult trails:
Bountiful > Buckland Ridge and everything around (shuttle)
Deer Valley trails (lifts, highly recommended)
Upper Park City stunt trail (shuttle or ride up)
Sundance: Very mellow but fun flowy trails (lifts)
"Moose trail" from the top of parley's summit to golf course (shuttle)

Mellow downhills, multiusage trails = watch out for people:
Wasatch Crest > Shuttle with still plenty of climbing
Solitude, All trails in park City, little emigration canyon, millcreek, backside of mueller park..

Ya, i do have a full downhill bike! Im not much for hiking it up the hill so thats why i was curious about trails that would be worth the climb or able to shuttle to. I will try Solitude for sure, ive heard good things about it! thanks

PM me. This trail already sees way too much traffic for a trail not quite "official".
I don't want to be an ass but when I see how quickly trails can close or get torn down, giving directions over the web is probably not the best idea.
Anyway. PM me I'll tell you where to go.

Do you know of any trails around that are similar to the tanners flat one?

hey where do you guys ride at most of the time? also, what kind of riding are you really prone to. I'd love to hook up with some riders that do a little downhill, but nothing too extreme, cause i don't have a full on downhill bike or any body armor.

Hey, I'm looking for people to ride DH/FR with too. Everyone I ride with does XC and road and I'd like to find some people who are into the downhill/freeride side of things. Especially now that I have a new 40+ lb bike... I'm not all that thrilled about riding it 3000' uphill, so I'm looking to find people who might want to do some shuttles in the SLC/PC area... anyone interested? :D
