It's happened twice now. 2011 Superfly with full X0 kit. It seems to call off during downhills in the big ring while coasting. I notice it's off after I start pedaling again. After the first time I tightened up the front limits so that it's slightly rubbing at small-small and big-big. I also lowered the direct mount FD so that it's about 1.5 mm away from the big ring vs the 3mm it was before. Any other thoughts? It certainly doesn't seem normal.

How ever much tension is needed to keep the chain on the rings. If the old X0 stayed on then the new setup should too. There was somebody else that needed to increase tension on an SRAM RD. When they called SRAM said don't do it and they ended up getting replaced under warranty.

I had the same problem with full X.9 2x10 right out of the box. I usually ride between 25-30 miles (or less on race day) and would have 1-3 drops per ride. After about 5 frustraing rides, I went back and removed one link and turned in the screw that pushes the der away from the cassette a bit. 26 miles last night over the same rocky trails that were causing it to drop with no drops. One ride doesn't confirm that it solved the problem, but that was the first and only ride since upgrading that I didn't have a drop...

I've been having this problem on my 2x10 Epic Comp Carbon 29er. X7 Shifters, FD, and X9 RD. Pulled one link out of the chain (pulling two out will hyper-extend the rear derailleur when in the big ring and big cog). I've adjusted all the limits (I'm a mechanic and mostly know what I'm doing :)). Some people are saying it's poor tension on the rear derailleur, but mine SEEMS fine- the spring is strong, but maybe it could be stronger. On the Epic, there is no way to move the derailleur down- it's in a fixed position, and sits rather high off the larger chainring (@5-7mm?). Either way- I have this issue EVERY SINGLE RIDE and several times every ride. Driving me crazy.
