Full Suspension 29er versus Giant Reign 0/1

I'm looking at getting a bike for all mountain riding and was thinking about either getting a Reign 0/1 or a Gary Fisher Hifi Plus 29er.

I already have a Trance X1(2008) and Dahon Fuego (which I have taken to the rock gardens). The Fuego was unsettling around the rock gardens,I felt like I was riding a bull. I haven't taken the Trance X1 to the rock gardens but down stairs it feels much more forgiving and stable than the Fuego.

The HiFi is a trail bike, just like your Trance. In fact, having owned a Trance, and tested the HiFi off road, I'd say the Trance is closer to "all-mountain." Check out Fisher's Rumblefish, or go with a Reign. I'm looking at both. Niner RIP9 also looks impressive, but costs.
Giant Reign

My advice would be to get the Giant Reign. New bike has 6 inches of travel (front and back) and personally Maestro is one of the most amazing suspensions around. The bike shop I went to tried to sell me on a Spec Enduro which should be stiffer and better at tackling downhill, with decent geometry to go uphill. They were right about the uphill and I guess downhill, but Giant responds so much bettter to bumps and rocks and anything else that comes in your way. If you plan on dropping 5 + then go bigger, but less I would stick with the reign, much better responsiveness!
Maybe wait until the Anthem X 29er is released...

I know there are certainly rumors that Giant is creating an Anthem X 29er but is there any tangible evidence?
