A possibility if things line up the way I hope they will. Can't get Fruita out of my system. :D

I am crossing my fingers my friend (he didn't go with me in May) can go so he can get a piece of Fruita. If it doesn't work out with him, I am considering a solo run out there.

Make sure you check out the Kokopelli & Lunch Loop systems this time. I think I've only ridden 18rd twice this season and I only live 30 minutes away!
True dat!

I tentatively have 5 days off to do the trip. The only thing holding up the show is waiting for my friend to give me a definite yes or no answer on if he can go too.

I am planning a Plan B to get my stepson to go along (13 years old) but he has this "biking is gay" attitude even though he seemed to really enjoy it when I took him riding last year - heck he even rode very darn well for a first timer.

By "holds up" you mean isn't hotter than Hades? :D
It was 95 degrees our first day out at Fruita back in May and had no problem riding all day in it. At least then it was a dry heat. As long as the trail is rideable, I'll be pretty happy.

My hat's off. We hit the Zion Curtain a couple years back in early may and it was only in the mid 80's and holy KRIST was it hot. If you can ride in 95 you'll be golden.

We got chased off Lunch Loops tonight..... downpour/lightning. At least it wasn't hot.
On my trusty Android phone, I have accuweather app on my main screen. I have 12 cities tagged on it and Fruita is like the #2 position after my home town. Probably not too hard to figure out how much I love Fruita! LOL.

Anyways, I noticed the past few weeks it coming up saying rain in the forecast a couple of those days. We here in KC have enjoyed mostly a rain free week minus a few here and theres so trails that missed the rain are still dry and ready to rip.

It's been 95 - 100 regular temps here and with the heat index of 110 - 115 so riding after work has been short rides of about 30 - 45 minutes. Hoping to squeek in one more tonight after work before the forecasted rain hits this area.

Yeah we've had kind of a crazy amount of thunderstorms/showers these last few weeks. I had my sprinkler system turned off for over a week and my lawn has never looked better! Usually it would burn up in a few days if I tried that!

Despite all these storms/rain the trails have held up good for the most part (I saw a few issues that need a little attention at lunch loops this week). They've been rideable within 24 hours of the storm if not sooner. As we got down Wed night, the storm had completely blown past and people were leaving the lot, heading up! Granted I think they probably found some muddy areas (Eagle's was pretty slick). Hopefully nobody tore it up while it was wet.
