Hey everyone

I bought an XTR front derailleur off a buddy of mine yesterday. Not even thinking if it was a top or bottom pull. The derailleur is a bottom pull and my bike is a top.

If I install it, will the derailleur still work? Or did I buy a paper weight?

If it won't work, is it possible to re-route the cable so it can be a bottom pull. The derailleur is in really good shape so I would love to use it if I can.

Check out the Weight weinies section....There is a device to change from bottom to top pull so you can run a road FD????

Speen I think....That might give you some ideas.

Also the newer XTR's are top or bottom pull.

Thanks, it is a 1993-94 model. But I will check out your suggestion.
