It would be nice if I could use the same new front wheel on both the MTB (15x100) and the gravel bike (12x100). Surely there are hubs out there with swappable end caps that can do this, preferably in 32° and CenterLock, not 6 bolt. Suggestions would be gratefully received!

NB: Mega-expensive boutique hubs are neither necessary nor desirable.

Thanks. ;-)

DT Swiss 350 hubs can be both. I have 15x110 on my MTB and 12x100 on my gravel. End caps are swappable.

Unfortunately the 15->12mm adapters only work on a few forks since the OD of the 15mm end caps is too large to fit in most 12mm forks. FWIW, none of the three different 12x100 forks I've had would accept 15mm hubs... :-(

As for DT, it seems one can indeed buy 350 hubs in either 15x100 or 12x100 but if the end caps are indeed interchangeable they don't seem to be admitting it or selling the parts. Grrrrr.

Ideally I'd like to buy a hub which came with both sets of end caps in the box, but doubt this is possible. Sigh.

Check Hope, I'd be surprised if they're not suitable. I've got QR, 15 and 20mm for my Pro2 hub.

You'd just have to buy the extra set of endcaps, no hub is going to come with them both in the box.

Call or email them and they will confirm for you. Virtually all 15mm DT front hubs are convertible down to 12mm and QR. Same with rears, most of the 12mm hubs can switch to 10mm RWS or QR.

Thanks guys. It looks like the Hope RS4 should work, if I can find one and the extra end caps; the 15mm hubs and end caps appear to be scarce though.

I'll see if I can contact the local DT and Hope agents here in Oz about spares tomorrow, but doubt they'll have (or know) anything.

I built a set of wheels for my gravel bike which required 12x100 front hub. I bought a 350 hub 15x100 and then bought the end caps for 12x100.
End caps available here and other places.
