Hi everyone!
I recently bought a GT Avalanche 1.0 and mostly use it for commuting, with the odd trail venture on weekends. Although I am very happy with the bike overall, I am experiencing an annoying problem with the front brakes. They are Tektro Auriga Comp's (160mm) and are making a fluttering / whirring sound under moderate to heavy braking at speed. It translates into a vibration at the levers too. This doesnt seem to effect braking performance greatly although I have had the pads replaced due to contamination from the factory. (Had the problem prior to this). I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and/or has an easy solution without having to go back to the LBS?
