Jamis cable damage.jpg Jamis cable damage.jpg :madman:Sorry for the double post of the pic, and another :madman: WTF? Why is this happening?? The front derailer cable is getting stuck between seat post and rear suspension arm (its called a?????)anyway, LBS fixed it - no charge. big thanks. But it has happened again. Any suggestions? Here is a link to the bike so you have a better idea of what's in the picture.

Jamis Dakar XCT. 650b/27.5" Full Suspension Trail Bikes

It's the XCT Comp down at the bottom of the page. I figure if I wrap something large enough around it, the wrap and the cable won't fit in the gap between the seatpost and the rear suspension arm. Something classy like electrical tape or fuel line to add some bulk just might fix it?

Thanks for looking.

You could try running the cable outside the suspension arm rather than through it as long as you dont get any bends in the cable that are too sharp.
