I talked to a guy today who says he's going to run his front hydraulic brake line thru his steerer tube (bmx style) so he can do bar spins. He's running a 1.5" steerer on a cannondale frame with a Marzocchi fork. I'm not aware of a setup that will allow this. Is anyone running their front cable that way? Is there a company making a star nut or preloader with a hollow bolt to fit a 1.5" steerer?

There are Headlock-type devices for 1.5 steer tubes. You can also just use a threaded dowel, some washers and a couple of nuts to preload the headset. After it is done, you can't remove it and run the hose through.

You can also cut part of the top cap and star nut to fit the hose through if you want to leave it in place.
