I just got my hands on a pair of cane creek zonos ss disc that came with a couple kenda karma's, they are too narrow for what it do, general xc, and want to run tubes. i took the valves out and put on a pair of weirwolf 2.1's with tubes and it seems like both tires are a little lopsided, like they didn't go in evenly. do i need to take the original strip out and put in some regular rim strip and that will work better????

so just take them back out and apply soapy water to the tire bead itself?
Pretty much. Deflate, move the beads to the middle of the rim. Apply soapy water. Reinflate. May need to inflate to the max pressure on the tire sidewall and then you can bleed down to the riding pressure.
