If you are like me you search this board a couple of times a day hoping for a sighting, so I wanted to share some bike porn and stoke. We picked them up from the shop less than 24 hours so in depth review will follow. We hit the local jumps this AM until the winds picked up and going DHing tomorrow in the chunk. We are superstoked with the ride. The two word review so far is acceleration (wow!) and balance. I love that you can ride up in front in the bike and stand and hammer with no knee banging, and yeah, it pedals like a Pivot:thumbsup: The big Bird can fly too. Here are a few pix;

No, we just bought frames and swapped our components over from our old bikes (except for the pretty new handlebars).. Gonna have the wheels rebuilt on some white syncros rims this week..

Sweetness, I def know your making a ton a riders jealous right now!!! Congrats on the bikes!!

Did you guys happen to weigh either of these frame before build, Im curious how much the production frames weight, compared to the pre production frames.

Thanks guys. Guy, I did not weigh the frame only. Mine comes in at 41, but there are lots of places that I can put it on a diet. I am having the wheels rebuilt to lighter rims soon, currently running old 321's. I run tubes and heavier straitline pedals too. I am still working on dialing in the shock for me, but it is close. I am looking for that feel (like on my FB and Mach) where the bike kind of just disappears from under me. I think it is certainly attainable. I am relatively light at 145# and KB said to try dropping the boost from 160 down at 10# increments.

Like my other Pivot bikes, this bike rewards an active rider. It is super easy to put this bike where you want it, but it does require a little more direction than previous "lounge" bikes, i.e. my horst linked Supermoto DH. The reward is being able to whip around switchbacks previously unmakeable to me, bound out of bermed turns, and manual or loft on a whim. The bike is uberfun to ride!

You're making me want one more and more.

I'm looking forward to pedaling one of these. Never know
maybe it really could be used as a heavy duty AM rig once in a while.
Lord knows there are trails that I could justify it.
Still be good to have the FB for the all day epics.

Meh, Im sensitive sometimes, seems a lot of peeps have been having issues lately with my choice of bikes/setup and im taking it all kind of personally. Anyhoo, dont just take my word for it @ the Phoenix...

Mind you this was done on flats wearing flip flops and no helmet. The test track wasn't much to speak of and was pretty flat.
Must say I'm very impressed with the way this bike pedaled.
Guy Ford is right when he says this can be built as a HD all mountain stead.
It felt like a portly FB but accelerated just as well.
I WANT ONE!
