The Frigid Bits race dates for January are the 14th and 28th.
We have cleared about a 5 wide swath of the loop and as of 1 PM there was about 1 inch of snow on the course and yes , it can be ridden without studs, Today that is ! I have my computer on my fabulous 5 Spot so I rode it around the course sans studs and I didn't really have any problems, I will try during the next week to squeeze an extra 1/4 mile so the loop will then be 1 mile long !

Frigid Bits Update 12/26

The Frigid Bits January races are the Sundays of January 15th and 29th .
The racers can choose to race recreational ( have not raced ), sport ( raced once or twice,) or expert ( experienced racer ). The recreational class will race 4 laps (3 miles), the sport racers will ride for 8 laps (6 miles) and the experts will try to finish 12 laps (9 miles).

Yes, the race will start at 2 PM and the race agenda will be:

sign up 1230 - 1:30
riders meeting : 1:45
Race : 2 PM
if we have a sparse turn out ( I hope not ) the racing will start earlier !
