Brooks of England

Recently, I had the misfortune of bending one of the Ti rails on my fairly new Brooks Swift whilst cycling in Northern Vietnam (also wrote off my custom steel frame in the same crash, but replacing that is another story).

On returning home, I exchanged an email with Brooks and then shipped the saddle back to Brooks for refurbishment.

For a fairly nominal fee they would install a new Ti undercarrage and rails, re-riveted to my leather shell and buff the leather to an as-new shine.

Anyway, the saddle returned home today and looks like again.

The journey from Australia to England and back to Australia including the refurbishment in the Brooks factory took 9 days.

Pretty impressive don't you think - and i don't even know how they want me to pay for the repair yet.

Oops, almost forgot the 29'er content....

Saddle is now waiting to be fitted to this iguana green 29'er when Larry brings it in from that rock in his yard.
