Frigid Bits: Phat Phrenzie, November 27th !!!!
The iconic and soon to be temple of the winter mountain bike, the Fabulous Frigid Bits Burn Barrel will be there to spread its warmness to those who attend the ride. I would like to encourage everyone to ride a fat bike regardless of the weather ! The grill will be absent from this function. However if someone would like to bring one please do so. Please bring beverages of your choice to share and bring wood for our soon to be more famous Frigid Bits Burn Barrel !!!
There will be two options, a casual pace and the other not so much!

The casual ride will start and end at Goose Lake, The Congregation of Mellow Velo, these flockers will leave Goose Lake at 6:30 PM or so. This ride will be under direction of none other than the Reverendo Big Karma !!! He will lead his flock into the heart of darkness and if you give him a drink from your flask he may be able, with luck, to wobble you back to where you started. This congregation will focus on a casual pace and is better suited to those who would like to learn more about the trails, fat biking and perhaps make new friends !

Oh a couple of things, helmets are required as are working lights with at least a 2 hour run time.

Those riders who are interested in hauling a$$ with your fat bike or what ever, well, show up at 6:30 pick up a number and sign up at 6:45. Pain hauling will begin at 7 PM!!! This congregation of flockers are expected to know the trails and if you don't have the trail knowledge at least have the fitness to keep up with those that do! This group is not for the beginning rider or the needy mamby pamby rider.

The route is as follows: from the Goose Lake parking lot ride the Frosty Bottom route and ride over Tudor Overpass and ride down the Tour of Anchorage Trail, then to the Salmon Creek Trail ride this trail to the View Point Trail then left on Moose Meadows the ride the several yards to the Speedway turnoff, which is a right turn, ride up Speedway pop out on the Tour Trail and take a right and ride the Tour trail back to the Frosty Bottom route and ride back to the start !!! This group of phat riders will have to sign up between 6:30 and 6:45 PM. Riders meeting at 6:50. Please bring your numbers from last year. New numbers will be $2.
