Hey all, I don't know if you have seen this yet, but a game developer out of Vancouver has created a new video game that captures the spirit and challenge of freeriding on the north shore. I have a full review with screen shots and all that good stuff on my site....check it out here:

not great

I downloaded the demo. Its not that great. its still VERY buggy, the graphics are weak and the physics are as sloppy as the controls. Its worth having a look at the demo though, they have got a good idea but just not a very good application. The bike is modeled ok though.....

Well the graphics are sparse. But the gameplay is hella fun. This was not put out by some huge company like EA, but just a little company...the guy rides and has put together a pretty good game IMO. While it takes a little bit to get used to the controls.....you just can't expect to be all that good at it right off the bat, it's meant to be harder....front wheel slips off skinny's and you crash....

I have recently finished some very nice looking games...while they were fun...thy were exremely short and they cost 60-70 canuck pesos, this game costs under 30. Gotta remember this is a first try, and I think it is fun. The demo is not the final product. I have spent tons of time with both and would recomend this game to anyone.

anyone else give it a try? :)
Yes, I tried that game, and its just too difficult to play. I think ill stick to downhill domination as my mountain bike video game entertainment. Although that game drives me up the wall with its so called "freeride racing" in which riders race down the mountain. Since when has freeriding been a race?
So is the full version of that game really any different than the demo? The demo doesnt look very promising. You do have to give that company some credit though, creating a video game is hard to do.

If you play with a gamepad it is much better I found. Once you get the views dialed it rocks, very challenging in some parts....but isn't biking in real life challenging? the page up/down keys move the views. I find the new chase view the best for just about everything.
