What exactly do we mean when we say "Freeride" Are there any specific bikes for that type of riding? Can we turn a xc racer into a freeride bike? Thanks
No, your XC race can not be converted into a Freeride bike. You'd need a completely different frame that has more gussets and heavier/sturdier overall construction, and a headtube angle that's slacker and able to accommodate the long travel forks associated with the type of riding.
Just out of curiousity, why would you consider converting your bike to a bike capable of a riding style you don't even know the definition of? Seems like putting the cart before the horse, bro!
I was not sure what freeride was, but I had in my mind that is just harder and longer xc riding, but apparently it is not. I was asking just to make sure. Thanks.
