I noticed after cleaning my bike this evening that I nicked the upper tube on the left leg of my Fox 32 F100. How big of an issue is this and should it/can it be replaced? The nick can be felt if you run your finger over it and it about 2mm x 2 mm. I can get pics if necessary.

Also should I find fine grit sandpaper to try and smooth it out?

400g sandpaper in a tiny sheet size of your fingertip, wet, gently and slowly sand off any burrs but do Not try to sand the scratch flat.

Then buff with a cloth, then clean with alcohol.

Then put a dab of clear nail polish on a tip of a ear bud, cover the scratch with one thin layer, sit the fork horizontally with scratch facing up, let it dry for a half hour, then buff it with a clean cloth.
