Fox Tirad, ProPedal vs. Open, Vs Locked

1427 Views 5 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Untchbl
Hey guys, help a rookie out. I know the little lever changes between modes, but I'm pretty sure I can only find two different notches that the lever clicks in too.

Help me out. What should I feel when the bike compresses in each different mode. Are there indeed 3 different positions for the lever?

Thanks in advance.

Tirad = Triad

Please excuse the fat finger misspell

This link has a diagram of the lever positions. There are 3 different positions. Propedal, Open, and locked out. The locked out position is when the lever faces upwards. It is not an actual notch but more of when it is not set in one of the other two. Its not a total lockout though and will still give just a little. As for Propedal vs. Open, you should notice that it doesn't compress quite as much in Propedal.
Thank you! I love the Fox website, but it takes a second to find stuff on there.

Looking forward to throwing a RP23 on there later down the road.

Yea, I have enjoyed my Triad on my 07 but there is a definite decline in Propedal effectiveness from when it was new. I am in the process of upgrading to a RP23 right now.
What all is involved in changing over?
