Hi , I just bought a used frame with this Fox Air Vanilla RC with lockout . Can anyone give me their opinion of this shock , the original shock was a coil over Fox and he upgraded to this one . Also I wanted to download the manual from fox's website but this model is not listed anywhere ( does anyone know the year ?) I called Fox and cant get through to anyone .

no, it's not a 1998, they weren't using that 3d link in 1998 and the flox float shocks didn't exist in 1998.

I e-mailed fox with a picture , they just called me, its a 1998 . Parts no longer available , they will give me credit towards a new one .........

(I had a 1998 RM DH race, it looked like an element with a huge linkage)...
