My slightly over a year old Fox Float DPS (2018 model) just started to show new squish sounds, but only when compressing fast. See

I refilled a bit of Float Liquid some month ago, but didn't do any service yet since I lack the bushing tools. Would changing the seals and do the small service do te trick or do you think a rebuild is necessary?

Squishy sounds usually means air in the damper, which means an overhaul, not just an air can service.

Yeah, it's on its way to Fox Germany. I didn't have many hours on it, I'm a little bit bummed that it's already flawed. Is this just bad luck or to be expected?

Sounds like bad luck. The Fox recommended overhaul interval is 125 hrs but they can usually go many times longer before exhibiting signs of needing service.
