Fox F29 w/ G2 Geometry

Im no expert but have some experiance with this fork on another bike.
From what I can tell, when set @ 100 mm travel with 51mm offset it would steer prettly similar to an 80mm standard offset fork.
Or in other words, steering is quicker, some people feel it significant, some dont.

I would not do it. It all depends if you like your bikes to "work" or "perform". Yes a G2 fork will work, but keep in mind when the frame was getting designed they were not building it around a Fisher OE part. If you only ride uphill and shuttle back down you will be fine. Otherwise, pointed downhill your ride will be pretty squirrely.
