Considering a Giant Anthem X29 with a Fox F29 RL. When that fork is locked out, will it blowoff when you hit a big enough bump? I'm guessing that if it does it's not adjustable, that I'd need to get an RLC to make it adjustable?

Can the RL be tuned properly for a 215lb+gear rider? I'm worried about not being able to adjust the compression damping.

Nope.....the RL does not have the Blowoff valve........so not matter how hard you hit, it will stay locked out. Fortunately, you will know after the first bump.

I ran a F29 RL that came on my Paragon for 2 years (210 lbs rider)......not my favorite fork, but it did work.

good question. i'm also looking at an Anthem X1 or X2 29er.

the spec on the X1 is good enough to make me consider spending the extra money: full XT, rp23, F29 RLC, dt swiss rear hub, brakes etc.

i'm about the same size as well...

sorry can't answer your question though, but this will bump it to the top so hopefully someone will chime in.
