Thinking about replacing my rear suspension on my Specialized Enduro SL comp, not that the suspension doesn´t work, just feels a little "dead" and also lacks tuning options.

So my weight is around 165 Ibs and riding is aggresive trailriding/downhill with some climbing involved.

What is the best option for me? A DHX Air or the Coil with titanium spring?

Thanks for all help!

The size?

Make sure you can find the right size for your bike - a lot of Specialized's i2i lengths are weird.

Specialized lists a 7.875 x 2.25. DHX-C for agressive riding, RP23 for less. DHX-A not the best damper.

Agree with Keen

I am running an RP23 on my Turner RFX - 6.4" of travel - and jumping 3 feet or more all the time - great shock.

I had a DHX5.0 coil on there before - another great shock - but overkill and adds a pound or so to the overall weight of the bike.

I have never heard much enthusiasm on this forum for the DHX Air.

The 7.875 x 2.25 size is fairly common - there are two shocks on eBay right now in that size for under $100 - one a Float and the other a DHX Air.
