Fox DHX-5 any information on this shock, I ordered a Heckler frame and this shock is installed. Also my lbs that is doing the build wants me to go with the Firefly or Z1 fork, but I realy perfer a Fox V. I weigh about 233 and I know I will shed pounds soon, I have not been out for awhile. Is the Fox V that bad of a choice for the Heckler?
I like singletrack and I do no DH or care to.
Thanks.

I personally prefer the Z1FR over the Vanilla and I weight 170 plus gear. There's nothing wrong with using the Vanilla on a Heckler, except that your head angle will be a little steep for that bike. You may like it, especially on tight singletrack. The bike won't be quite as stable at high speeds, though.

The Z1Fr will be better, though, imo. You shouldn't worry about the weight. The Z1 also has ETA. The Vanilla only locks out at full extension.....It's a pretty worthless feature unless you do a lot of riding on paved roads.
