I have the opportunity to ride the 2008 Fox 40 on my 07 Kona Stinky in Whistler/Vancouver next week. I just received the fork, which is factory set at 203mm (8"). In comparing the A-C on my 2007 Marzocchi 66SL set at 180mm (7") they are very close (within 1/2"). I will install the fork prior to making travel adjustments on the 40 (if needed). Is anyone else running 8" on fork with 7" travel rear? As long as it still feels balanced with appropriate sag front and rear, performance should be fine? Thanks for your input.

yessir im running 7" front and 5.5" rear as long as you dont exceed the manufacturer's recommened fork length it will still be in warranty and youll be fine. plus take personal preference into account
