I just replaced a 2018 Fox 34 SC with a 2022, and right off the bat, the rebound feels wrong. Suggested rebound setting for my air pressure is 7 clicks from closed, but then it is a pogo stick with 80psi. At 4 clicks it feels ok, but then I get compression spiking presumably because of the loss of free bleed at the rebound valve. My old fork was usually kept at 7-9 clicks depending on temperature.

Could the rebound shim stack be damaged? There is no air in the damper as far as I can tell, I took it out of the fork to cycle it and nothing unusual to feel.

thnaks let me know your impressions with new damper shim stack.
I have made full service of mine, pending to ride in trail, but first thing I notice is that rebound is now actuating from the first click from fully open, before I had to dial in more rebound to have same feeling
