I found a pretty good deal on a 2008 Paragon. I noticed under the reviews for this bike, there was an issue with the seat post tubes cracking. Should I avoid this bike altogether then?
If the price is right I would go ahead and buy it. Not every frame cracks, and if it does crack you have a 50% chance that Trek will warranty the frame even if you're not the original owner. Worst case scenario, you crack your Paragon and have to spend a couple hundred bucks on a new frame.
That bike came with a great set of wheels, drivetrain and fork. Unless it looks heavily abused you should enjoy it quite a bit.
