Forums really slow and buggy?

Not slow for me. 5 Mbps DSL connection.

Forums are currently running on a backup server. Here is the announcement from Francois. Its linked at the top of every board

it has gotten a bit better for me now that most of the US is asleep.

I clicked on a thread last night and got a popup.
The popup said that this thread contains VIP information.
And I wasn't aloud to see the thread until I clicked on a link for some adverts.

Has this happened to anyone else?

If that’s how its going to be from now on I'm going to go to other forums.
I've sent allot of friend to this site when ever they are looking for any thing mountain bike related.
I do support the advertisers, but on my terms. Not because I was forced to.

I just saw that popup too. I manage to view the thread by clicking stop before the popup has a chance to appear. I'm also wondering what this is.

That is from malicious javascript code that a user posted in a comment. It's not related to the forum issues and it isn't from the advertisers. The mods are good about cleaning out the thread when these happen, but it is certainly annoying
