So i love my Formula megas except for one thing- I cant get the reach as close to the bars as I'd like- its very tiring on my hands.

Has anyone tried messing with the thin metal clip that connects the lever to the reach adjust bolt?

That's just a spring to keep everything in contact. If you mess with that, all you're going to do is make the lever really sloppy.

hmm well i was thinking if I dial the reach really close, so the spring would be loose, I could then move the spring over to tighten it up again....

I took the lever off my Megas and ground down the contact surface of the adjustment screw. I removed about 2 mm which gave me more than enough lever adjustment. I think when you remove the lever you will be able to figure out what I'm talking about. Be careful not to remove too much. The Ones are a little more complicated and I haven't tried to modify those.
