I've been considering upgrading my 100mm Marzocchi to a fork with more travel. I'm considering the Fox Vanilla R 130 and the Rockshox Pike. I was wondering which fork is more reliable and durable, and also what the difference between the Pike SL and Race models are. Thanks for any help.

Both the fox and the pike are nice forks. if you were to get the pike get the race, it's stronger although it is a bit heavier. i can't answer the question straight out though, what type of riding do you do?

Mild (?) freeriding. Usually gravel roads or single track up, single track down with smaller jumps and drops. Nothing bigger than about four or five feet.

i'd go for the rockshox... but if price isn't an issue a 36... (mabye even the 36 vanilla coming out later!)
