Avalanche forks use MX technology and dampers. They are valved to your weight and riding style. They use a damper that is similer to what marzocchi uses, except it's on steriods and has many more features and better technology. Bottom-out cones, adjustable compression, etc...They cost about as much as a dorado. The real question is "why not" to get an avalanche fork.
