So I recently noticed a small nick on one of my fork stanchions, and remembered seeing this funny looking neoprene boot used to protect the stanchions. Do any of you use these? What do you think if you have used them??
I tried them yeas ago on a RS Judy SL. They did more harm than good. grit that was trapped inside the boots was held against the stanchions like sand paper.
I agree with the above all the lizard skin boots seem to do is trap all the dirt in there. Unless you remove them after each ride and clean I wouldn't bother.
