I need some help deciding on a new fork. I have a fox float that seems to work exactly as it should with an avg rider on it. I weigh around 255 fully geared, and find that the amount of air needed to make the sag correct has an adverse affect on the fork.
I contacted Push since they helped me so much with my shock, and they recommended some changes to this fork. I began to think why not just get a new fork since the money is negligible. I am by no means saying these things are cheap, but for a hobby that consumes this much time, I have no problem investing in equipment. I've said it over and over that this is the most affordable activity on the planet. /end rant
ANYWAY i was looking to make the float a coil, or just go with possibly a Lyrik. How nice are coil setups? Would a Lyrik handle high pressure better? I ride mostly flat trails with roots and some quick up and downs. My bike weighs in the 30-32lb neighborhood, and I am fine with that.
I hope someone can derive some meaning out of what I am asking
Is a Lyrik fork with MC that good? Should i give coils a try due to my weight? Simply adjust my fox to coils?
I ended up going vivid coil on the rear of the bike, and it has been night and day in pedal bounce, pogo, and plushness. I'd love the same up front.
Thanks for reading my ramblings..
Bike is a nomad if that helps at all
