Any suggestions for a do it at home crown race installation? or links to description of installing without exact tools. Thanks.

I use a piece of PVC pipe, 11/2" x 18" I believe. Clean and grease all surfaces and pound the race on by grasping the fork legs upside down and pounding the end of the pipe on a concrete surface. Make sure it fits all the way round and you're done.

1 1/4" pvc will work too, & make sure it's cut straight.
