Just got a fisher Xcal frame. It is supposed to be the G2 geometry. My questions are as follows:

Any one running a regular non-g2 offset fork on their fisher? If so are you happy with it?

Anyone running an x fusion? Seems like they are gaining popularity.

Maybe those more knowledgeable can chime in here.

Isn't G1 geometry essentially G2 with a standard offset fork ? I think that the only change with G2 was the increase in fork offset.

If so, I had a G1 Rig and didn't like it at all. YMMV as others like it just fine. The problem is that everyone has different tolerances for geometry changes and ride different terrain. I thought the Rig handled like a truck on tight single track.

Wondered If that was the difference. Wonder if it would be that much more obvious
To me as I have only ridden 26 and 650b. That being said I really notice my buddies on 29ers pull away from me on the downhill stuff unless I really bust it and push my bike right to its limits (especially the 26 inch... It is WORK, on fast descents).
