I'm here in the northwest and it's freezing outside so I decided to try riding one of those biking machines at the gym. I only rode for a half an hour and both of my feet cramped up on the bottom near the arches. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what you did to fix it.

What kind of shoes were you wearing? Experienced spinner-class people usually wear stiff-soled cycling shoes (to prevent arch fatigue and improve performance), even if they never ride a real bike outside.

I'll look into some different shoes, I was wearing running shoes at the time. As for my foot position I had my toes and the area right behind them against the pedals. My seat height was up so that my legs extended fully when the pedals were down.
