Ahhh yes, the woodpecker is awesome, cool video. What sort of camera are you using? I just got a GoPro the other day and have been having a blast playing with it and making movies. Even when the rides suck (Kingman Farms) I still have fun with different camera angles and whatnot. My current fav is on the seatpost, but facing forward. I have a short vid if you're interested, I just don't want to jack your thread.
I'm using a Canon SD1100 IS. I've tried forward facing shots but they never worked out well for me. I've tried mounting it on the fork but way too many steering inputs for that. I've tried it on the down tube but it was too low. I've tried the head tube but the cables are always in the way. I didn't try seatpost facing forward because I thought that my legs would always be in the way. As far as quality, that is all that Google lets me upload. The original quality is quite good at 640x480 30fps. You can actually see the trail in very good detail.
How do you like your GoPro? Ease of use, battery/memory life, quailty of video, etc. I'm thinking of getting one.
Yuppers... i've got one too and i love it... The helmet cams are a lil shakey but gopro has mentioned that they are working on a wide angle lens which should solve the problem... In the mean time, you could probably buy an after market lens and just slap it on there... The seatpost mount is killer though... Not going to find a better camera for the price... here's a few vids of mine...
