Nicely done early birds. If you’re reading this and haven’t committed, go get it done! At least 3 miles and try to get some dirt on your tires if you can. Start off the new year right and get a jump start on your fitness!
Muddy and slushy trails limited dirt riding and forced some pavement riding today. Ride was about 60% paved, but the trail part was chunky enough to make up for the paved part.
Don’t know how I missed this thread. I rode with Steve today and he asked if I was doing it. I did it last year, so why not again this year. Now I sat on my arse yesterday, so I’ll be one day short. Or I’ll make up with two rides one day.
Melting snow and ice has most of the local trails shut down due to muddy conditions. I had to search out some urban trails that were still open to get my trail fix. Also took a bonus urban trail walk to the store with my wife.
I wish I could do this, but my job has other plans for me...I will have to settle for riding both weekend days, which sort of happens already. Will be cool to see everyone's progress!!!
Forgot to mention I signed up to do 505 miles Jan 1-Mar 31 on a Garmin challenge. Ridding everyday in Jan is going to help get a good jump on it. Plan on doing all these miles on trail as well.
