Finally got time to build the Gryphon now that I have a break from school. Very fun and enjoyable bike. The wife is happy seeing the Kooka cranks on a bike rather than sitting on the shelf.(she bought them for me for our first Christmas 15 yrs ago). The mouse pad on the bars before wrapping really adds to the comfort and absorbtion.

Not my first dance riding drops bars offroad-

I rode the Inbred for a few years a while back.

Kinda miss that bike, but the proper frame for drop bars, longer head tube- has a better feel to the ride.

The one experience that stands out to me riding drop bars is the balance between the wheels and the control you have while cornering.

Beautiful!

That's a very tasteful build!
Are those Woodchipper bars?
I like the BB7's; so what sort of levers did you use?
Never heard of Kooka cranks, but they look perfect.
What's the hubs, rims? And what gear-ratio?
Nice work.

The bars are On One Midge bars with Tektro RL520 ergo levers. The cranks are no longer in production , so I guess they can be considered vintage. Ratio is 32:18.
Thanks for the compliments

Love it!

Good to see another Gryphon built up! Your build is similar to mine, and I am loving it.

I am trying to remember, were the Kooka cranks the ones that cracked a lot? Or was that caramba? Either way, how did you hold on to those for 15 YEARS w/out using them?!!! Enjoy the new ride!

Here's mine all built up finally!
