Talked to FS today @ Sandia. They are leaning towards 100% Cibola/Santa Fe by 4th of July.

Wow! Once again, they may jump the gun a bit, as Santa Fe is finally seeing some decent, real, ground-soaking early monsoonal rains.... yesterday we got hammered and the forest feels like a lush rain forest in places!

If I recall, last year (possibly the year before - the last time they closed SF on a 'mild' fire - threat year) no sooner did they close down everything that we got 4-5 weeks of steady, consistent rain patterns that took then again a few more weeks to repsond to (beuracratically pretty fast) to re-open.

Anyhow, let's keep our fingers crossed and everyone; WASH YOUR CAR(S)!!!
