Hi Guys! I have a problem with both my Impact Low (one pair is the Sam Hill version), and I have not found any reference to this issue on-line. These are very solid shoes, with no problem with the uppers or the sole, but the mid-sole which is some type of foam seems to be the weak link, separating from both the upper and the stealth sole. Any advise on how to fix these otherwise very good shoes, such as what kind of glue might be compatible with the foam material, would be very much appreciated. Thanks

This has been an issue for me ever since Adidas acquired Five-ten. It's like they either forgot how to make shoes, or changed something causing them to fall apart prematurely. Pre-adidas Five-tens were far more solid. I'd have the toe peel start to peel away every so often, but a little shoe-goo would fix it for a year or so. Rubber on the post Adidas Five-tens start to peel off a lot sooner, and along more spots on the sole. I can shoe goo it a few times but within a year or so the entire sole separates from the shoe. I've stopped buying Five-tens because of this. Just use trail runners now, they don't have quite as much grip but are lighter, cooler (better airflow), more comfortable and last a lot longer.

Thanks for your input. I took them to a shoe repair guy, and he simply refused to touch them knowing that the foam material just falls apart. So now I realize I just have shoe goo, and perhaps some other glue, to try to extend the life of these shoes, which I like except for these issues. The stealth soles and the uppers are far far from worn out.

If it is the foam that has deteriorated the shoes might be done. How old are they? Looking at Adidas/Fiveten website there is interestingly no mention of warranty whatsoever. If less than a year or so old, or even if older than that it can't hurt to contact them. If enough people have issues and complain maybe they'll do something about it.

So I guess FiveTen picked a really bad material for the mid-sole on these shoes, which really is a shame since the uppers are so solid and the stealth sole so good. :( I thought I was set on flat pedal shoes for a long time, but apparently not.
