Five Ten Hellcat Pro

I’m switching from flats to clips and currently use the Freeride Pros. I’m shopping shoes, it looks like they redesigned the Hellcat Pro.

Perforated breathable shell, weight from 1200g to 850g, stiffened the sole, slimmer overall. Looks like a proper trail shoe now rather than just DH. Looks good except some reports of sole delaminating. Any thoughts on these as a trail shoe now?

soccer, meet mtb. i luckily have a the last freerider pros before the takeover, but am in need of a new shoe. i'd look elsewhere as i am, adidas destroyed the brand unfortunately.
How so? Curious cuz I've just switched to platform pedals and purchased 5.10s... I only have new ones.
What made the pre-Adidas 5.10s better?
Thanks,

Indoor soccer trainers, driving shoes, mountain bike shoes.. I can't tell

I do have a pair, they're comfortable. I don't wear them often, because I don't normally use my clipless pedals.

well, i have a wide foot and the freerider pros used to be the same as the freerider except for stiffness and leather before the buyout. now they fit more like their popular soccer shoes. toe box is lacking in room and definitely nowhere near as stiff as the og pros. pro also used to be all leather.

Found the Hellcat Pros on mega sale so picked up a pair. Thought I’d share the weight compared to the Freerider Pro. Size 13, without cleats. 134g (4.7oz) weight difference per shoe.
