I have FOX RL Remote 100mm - 2009 and i'd like to buy new FIT RLC damper for the fork, but in my LBS i was told that FIT dampers can't be mounted to 2009 or older FOX forks as upper legs have other thread. I'm really surprised, as FOX never before changed threads. Anyone knows more about that?

The FIT dampers will mount in the older forks no problem, provided it's the correct travel. Threading is the same. You might want to find a new LBS.
