I bought a Cake 2 DLX frame on ebay and a Cake 1 from my LBS. Fisher's website says that the DLX has 5" of rear travel compared to the 4" of the regular Cake.

When I compare the two frames, they share the exact same shape. So I called Fisher to ask where that extra inch of travel is coming from. The tech-guy said, it's the shock that makes the difference.

But when I look at the shock, both Swinger 3-way, they look like twins. When I release all the air to check the travel of the shock, they are also the same.

So my question remains, where is the extra inch of travel coming from? Or what am I missing?

Good question! I never really thought about it, but they do look the same. There's probably somebody on here that can answer the question. IF your Cake 1 is getting the full 5 inches...Bonus!
