hi, i will be travelling to ashland from singapore for the first time. I have never travelled so far before so forgive me if i ask silly questions :D

I will be staying in Williamson Way and was wondering :
1) what kind of weather i will be expecting?
2) will the weather be too cold to ride in?
3) I dont drive, so i can only ride to the trails, can someone give me some idea of some of the trails there?

if i bring my bike along with me, the airlines(united airlines) & taxis ( singapore ) will set me back about US$550 for a two way.
I will be there for a month from Feb 20 to March 20, worth bringing my bike along with me?

Thanks guys

Right now its snow, rain and cold. We just had 4 weeks of glorious weather that melted the snow from the previous cold snap and allowed us to hit higher elevation trails. We are currently in a stormy period that just brought a couple feet of snow up high and inches low.

Weather in S. Oregon is hit or miss. Your month here may be beautiful, sunny and warmish or wet and cold. You never know.

You can easily access the trail system from downtown Ashland. You can be on single track in about 15 minutes by bike from Williamson way. The trails are awesome. Fast and flowy. Its all up then down. You are climbing to descend. You would be sad if you didn't bring your bike.

Frost,

I grew up in Singapore and I am currently living in Vancouver, WA (a city outside of Portland, OR). I used to frequent Togoparts.com when I lived in Singapore. Good to see a fellow Singaporean looking to hit the trails in Oregon.

The Feb and Mar time frame will be pretty cold or wet. Come prepared with some winter or cold riding gear.

I am not familiar with biking in the southern part of Oregon state. There may be some local bike shops which may rent bikes to you. Good luck on your trip!
