So I am finally out on my new tricked out SS, and a few mins into the
ride I hear and feel a clank every half pedal. Maybe I had my chain
too tight, I dont know. I get off the bike an inspect. I turned my
ring into an egg, and cracked one of the bolt holes. I am just using
cheap crap rings untill I get a ratio I like, then I'll place an order
with boone. This sucks, shop is closed and I have no other rings that
fit!

Were you using bolts short enough for one ring or did you have a bash ring?

BMX single ring bolts. They were alloy though . All I had on me at the time. I'm buying some steel ones today.
