Wow, that's so excellent! I have to think that if you're riding where there are giraffe, there must also be lions?? (mommy!) I can't imagine what it must be like to ride in Africa... blows my mind to imagine myself riding killer singletrack in a place I've only ever seen on TV.

The iphone pictures look great.

nope not at all, this trial is in nature reserve with lots of animals, LOTS
of zebra, rooibok(type of buck), wildebees(simialer to buffalo), etc
nothing dangerous thought. All depends where you go it's as safe as
any place, just don't go into the bad areas. Plenty of trials around, groenkloof
the nature reserve where the pictures got taken is very popular with
mtbers with aroung 50km of custom made tracks for mtbing, then
right next door is fountains park where one of the national XC course are.
Then there is the MTN Toyota bike park with graded trials, BMX track,
DJ etc, then there is van gaalena farm, most awesome flowing singletrack,
will be super hard on a SS, teaks palce another park is 10mins from there.
And this is just places in a 40km radius from my home, then there is still all
the local "north shore" ladder riding style spots, single track, jumps etc
that only locals know about. If you are here and want to ride pm me
and I will show you some spots.

This whole quote just reeks of jaw-dropping maxed-jealousness.

Awesome. Please post more of your adventures.

Keep appreciating those trails.....sounds and looks beautiful.
If that nature reserve was here in the states there would be lobbyist agruing that the noise MTB cranks make during it's revolution cause stress on the animals and the area would be closed to riding.
I built up an Inbred last year and feel in love after the first ride as well.
