Was finally able to get the newly converted Litespeed on a trail, all public lands have been closed here in north central Arizona for 3 weeks due to fire danger (just reopened). Took the Pisgah with me to Phoenix and rode some trail at South Mountain Park. Great fun and pain. Basic build is: Zoke Atom 80 fork, Magura Louis discs, old school vanilla Panaracer Smoke tires, 32x17 and a cheap Pyramid brand old style Singulator. South Mountain is a 16,000 acre granite rockpile with all kinds of trails. Lots of up, down, rocks, ledges. The bike rides lighter that with gears, more responsive. At the end of 2 hours the old SS techiques started coming back, it's been over a year since I gave my 95 steel Rockhopper SS away when we moved. The 17 gear was a bit high but I'm weak. The sickness returns....
